The signing of Belgium international striker Romelu Lukaku has given the Blues a new identity, according to Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel. The big Belgian sealed an audacious return to Stamford Bridge this summer after Chelsea agreed a £97 million fee with Italian Serie A giants Inter Milan following the brilliant season, he had with the Italian club last season as he helped them to win the league title. Lukaku was courted by Chelsea some weeks ago after the English club failed in their attempt to convince German Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund for the transfer of striker ErlingHaaland.
Arsenal welcomed Chelsea to the Emirates Stadium on Sunday evening in their second Premier League game of the season and fell to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of the Blues, thanks to goals from Lukaku and Reece James. Lukaku fired home the opener under the first 15 minutes after receiving a beautiful low cross from right-back James.
James doubled the lead before half-time following a brilliant team play by the Chelsea players to make the scoreline 2-0; the eve tusk full-time score. Lukaku earned praise for his efforts from former Premier League player Wayne Bridge who believes that Chelsea have got themselves a missile and can win the Premier League title this season.
